Giantex Portable Washer/Spinner (18 lb Capacity) – Perfect for Apartments & Dorms

Excellent Customer Service! When it stopped draining water, this company replaced it immediately before they received my returned washer! The replacement has been working great!

The tub is a nice size. Washes well. The spinner works well also. My only issue is the hose they supply. It’s not big enough to fit on any size faucet. Which means I can use all functions. All they had to do was add an attachment of some kind. Now I have to go in search for some sort of hose or attachment.

Frustrating heavy wet mess. Everything gets tangled in it. You can’t move it when there’s water in it because it’s too heavy but it doesn’t drain properly unless you have something it’s standing on. Also there’s too much water to drain into a bucket so it has to be near a bath or somewhere that won’t make a mess. The hose is to small to connect to anything in the laundry room or sink to drain. It’s really loud. The cord is very short so you have to be so strategic on where you place this. It’s really frustrating. It’s really made life a lot harder. It’s way easier to wash in the sink with a laundry board and it leaves less of a mess and my clothes come out cleaner. This does nothing but spin my clothes into a tangled mess and leave a wet mess.

This machine shakes way too much, both in the washing and in the draining cycles, despite being put on perfectly straight floor with ceramic tiles.
After only 5 months of light use, only filtered water used and mostly small loads, the drain pump stopped working. A total waste of 200+ dollars. I will never buy again anything from this brand, nor this type of portable washers.

Truly, this Giantex Portable Washer, has to be the best investment I've made this year. My financial circumstances this year deteriorated and I was in a phase where I had to cut corners to stretch my dollar and this included trying to stay home more to use less gas on my car and identifying where I can save money. For several months I was visiting my local laundry mat while attempting to find a solution to cut back on the cost of washing clothes and eventually, this washer came my way and in mid-October, I bought my portable washer.
Along with the portable washer, I purchased a rack with wheels and placed two beach towels on the rack before mounting the washer. I also used pool noodles and zip-tied them on the rods of the rack to ensure the washer was centered and to minimize the vibration noise. I even purchased a drying rack from Walmart to complete my at home laundry mat.
I am truly grateful for this portable washer. There is manual labor involved as I push the rack to the kitchen in my one bedroom apartment to use the attachable hose the sink has to fill my washer with water and then push it back to the bathroom to leave the drain hose inside the bathtub. It roughly takes eight minutes to fill up the washer with water to the top tier it is recommended by the instruction manual and I noticed it is best suited for me to wash clothes every three to four days since this washer is small and every time, I wash my clothes in two loads.
I normally wash two pairs of scrubs (pants and shirts) with two pairs of socks, two pair of underwear, and two t-shirts I wear underneath my scrub shirt in one go before moving on to a second load. If I had to complain anywhere, it would be the spin cycle compartment. It is much smaller than the washer. However, although it is small, it is powerful. I fill up the spin cycle halfway and leave it on for two minutes and every time you can see a lot of water being drained. The garments are lightly wet but never soaking wet. From there I use my drying rack to let the clothes air dry and if I have a lot of shirts, I use hangers and hang them on the border of the door in my closet and after four hours, all my items have air dried inside my apartment and are ready to fold. The best part of this is how strong the aroma of laundry detergent is and fills the whole apartment with a clean smell. I love leaving my clothes drying over night as when I come back from work and open the door, I smell the aroma of detergent.
I can agree with everyone. This review is incredibly long. But for those who read this far, I promise, five stars is an understatement. For two months I’ve used this washer successfully in my second floor apartment and I haven’t received any complains on any noise level. I do have to credit the towels I placed under the washer and the bathroom rug I leave the rack onto to minimize any noise. It is involve a lot of manual labor pushing and pulling the washer from the closet where I leave it stationed to the kitchen and bathroom twice sever three to four days as I wash my clothes. However, for two months, I’ve cut back on spending money at the laundry mat and the need to use my car/ gas. Long term, this investment will payoff and if I am correct, after the tenth month, my laundry needs will be free at home with the exception of having to go once a month to wash blankets/ pillows.
If you are considering this washer, don’t consider any longer. Buy it. You won’t regret it. It’ll save you money if you’re in a tight situation or if a laundry mat is inaccessible. Even if you’re living in a second floor or third floor apartment, this washer will payoff as you won’t be carrying any heave hampers between floors.

The one I ordered was a dud. Leaked all over when we tried to fill it before we plugged it in. Seemed to not leak when we plugged it in and then filled it. Drained the washer side no problem, but then when we tried spinning the clothes dry, the water once again poured out all over the floor through the bottom. Amazon was very responsive and gave me a refund at least.

Purchased June 7th... lasted almost 2 months which only turned out to be 4 washes... After the last wash I noticed the motor still running long after completing. This last wash I've noticed the timer has stopped working. This is my 3rd of this type of washer, each time an increase in size. This one does not support more washing than my smaller one did. But the dryer does...

I purchased this in April and it worked great, it was super helpful living in an apartment. But now I’m July less than 3 months later the pump gave out. It no longer drains. It’s out of the return or support window so just beware it may not last long. For the amount of money I paid I expected it to hold up a lot longer.

I had one of these for six years before it busted on me, i got this as a replacement and oh my gods its been so amazing!! Can fit full size bed sheet and the drainage pump is no joke!!
