    I was amazed at how nice this sewing machine is. I’ve always bought Singer machines before and normally I have a lot of trouble with the tension being too tight and being difficult to thread the needle and inserting the bobbin and so forth. I just thought that was normal for a sewing machine. But this Brother is so easy to thread the needle and it was a breeze to insert the bobbin. The instructions are very plain and simple to follow. And the guide is very easy to see and get a straight line. Also a lot of little convenient buttons that make sewing a snap. This machine is definitely worth the price.

    Even sometimes going over a seam, you have to be very careful. I slowed the machine down almost to a stop and just walk it over the seam otherwise I’ve had three needles break just trying to sew so you have to be careful. It doesn’t sew anything very heavy really good, that’s a big Problem for me because I am used to sewing everything heavy or not so I’m not sure if I will have to have another machine to do heavier items with . That’s why I gave it three stars only.

    I did a lot of comparing machines before I purchased this Brother. I was used to sewing on a very large sophisticated, expensive sewing/embroidery machine. The machine has now become too heavy for me to lift to put on my kitchen table where I have to sew. When I received my new Brother I was in the middle of a project and decided to start sewing with it immediately. The directions were very clear and the longer I sewed the more functions I was able to use. This machine is unbelievable for the price and quality. I am an experienced sewer and this machine has the bells and whistles that you would find on a much more expensive machine. It is lightweight and can easily be moved off of the table and stored while not in use. The up and down needle position button is great. I have used this machine a lot and have not found one negative yet. I highly recommend this machine to a beginner or advanced sewer.
