    Bought this to replace my OEM charger for my rav4 prime. The Schumacher charger has a thicker gauge wire, and runs a lot cooler than Toyotas OEM charger. It also charges faster and has a nicer feel than the OEM charger. At 1/3 the price, this is a no brainer. Great charger and would highly recommend.

    I use this for my EV6 and it’s been great. I’ve had it for 6 months and it’s worked flawlessly. I’ve only used it for level 1 charging and it’s been consistent with energy output. I really like that it’s plenty long, but still compact enough to wrap up and throw in the trunk as a back up for longer trips.

    This charger works great but dont plug it into a cheap power inverter. Even though the inverter stated “pure sign wave” it probably was not. It caused the charger to pause after three hours. I un plugged then plugged back in then it finished the charge. This lasted for a few charges on house AC after the inverter test then the glitch went away. I can only assume it was the cheap inverter since it started right after the inverter test i tried. Anyway its consistant now.

    Used everyday for our daughter's BMW 330e. We have it set for the full 16 amp, and charges her car in 3
    hours or so. Lives outside 24/7 in the elements, and have had zero issues.

    Highly recomend.

    Had an EV charger that had a thicker 15 foot cord, kept needing an extension cord to reach outlets at friends homes. This charger solves that problem nicely, easily reaches the outlets inside the garage when the car is parked outside on the driveway. I use it with a 6-20R to 14-50 plug, which I then convert to a dryer outlet. No issues charging with anyone's dryer outlet (I have both 3 and 4 pin dryer adapters). No heat is present on either the adapter plugs or the charger itself at 16 amps.

    I am very satisfied with my purchase because I like the portable charger with both 120V and 240V charging ability. When gathering electrical parts to install a level-2 charging receptacle in my garage I noticed the 240V plug on this Schumacher charger is for a 20Amp receptacle rather than the more common 50Amp plug/receptacle used for EV charging. I didn’t know there were two separate 240V plug types, but now I do and I’m writing this review so new EV owners will be conscious of the difference.
