    I bought this because I was looking for a durable car seat that could travel on an airplane easily and would be good to use while I was using a rental car.
    This was perfect! Following the instructions and watching a quick video, I was able to quickly get the seat to lay flat for the flight and reassemble once in the car. It was easy to install in the car, perfect size, and had no issues with fit for my child.

    So this thing is relatively easy to assemble. There is a YouTube video by the manufacturer explaining how to snap the back to the bottom so it’s firm and not falling over. The harness is adjustable as long as you have a basic understanding of how things work and the proper tools. You can move the buckle to the forward slot since it’s in the closest one upon opening the box. Take a large flathead and pry the metal plate underneath out of the notches holding it in place then simply move the strap out of the slits and pull from the top. To reinstall in the new slot just follow in reverse and once the buckle is reattached to the plate pull hard until you hear it snap into its new location also double check and make sure it’s seated where it needs to be. That move should allow for more space for your little one since the complaint is that it can be a bit tight/uncomfortable on their genitals. Now the comments about the size/weight of the child affecting the ability of using the harness are true. Once your child reaches a certain weight/height you will then have to use the actual seat belt to keep the child restrained in the seat.

    I just don't understand the reviews online about how difficult it is to install [tether, 2 latchs and the inside and then buckle one]. It was easy to me, the pad feels comfortable, fits perfect in my tiny car [Kia Soul '15], my almost 2 year daughter love her ride on it. It feel very safe. Price is good compare with the expensive nowadays car seat.

    The 1st stage seat setting is supposed to strap in a toddler up to 48 inches & 40 lbs. My 2 year old is barely 37 inches, 30lbs, and the straps are always at max extension! A HUGE problem because you can't use the 2nd stage with regular seat belt until over 40 inches & over 40 lbs. Make the straps longer! Even an infant seat has more leeway than this!
