Sony Alpha a6100 APS-C Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens Bundle (5 Items)

The Camera is for the most part really great. Perfect for a beginner or someone that wants a little more when it comes to vacations and traveling. I have issues with the auto-focusing on some things (pets and flowers). It tries to focus on leaves for than the flower and it's hard to adjust it. Regarding the extra batteries that came with it they are garbage. They don't last more than 1 year and stop holding a charge. Pick up a second Sony battery to help out with your travels.

So, I haven't had a chance to use the camera yet, I only just, just opened my replacement camera package box - I had to return the original package because it was misses pieces of the package. Long story short and a wait later, I have found this package to be missing items that are supposed to be included as well. Annoying? Yes. Do I really want to pay even more to replace the missing items? No. But, do I really want to go through the hassle of having to get the return sticker, reboxing everything back up, and waiting even longer when I'll probably run into the same issue - again? Not really, no. So, I'll start using my new camera and just be annoyed that "what's included" isn't really what's included.
Camera wise, I'm sure it's great, but again - I haven't even gotten beyond charging batteries, so I wouldn't know as of yet.

Great auto focus! Batteries die faster than my other DSLR but that's expected with a smaller camera since theyre smaller batteries. The package comes with 3 batteries though so that lasted me through a weekend before having to quickly charge them! There is a WiFi function to send the photos directly to your phone you just need the 'imaging edge mobile' app which comes in handy. Overall an amazing camera!

I absolutely love my camera ; 3 batteries make it easy for me as a mom on the go to always have a charge ! The bag is light weight has many compartments for storage! I love the way everything came organized it was really easy to decide where everything fit. You can change the size of the compartments in the main bag area which is nice if you have another camera you like to use. The tripod is amazing no complaints here !

My wife has been itching for a new hobby while staying home with my son during the pandemic. With the bird feeders outside she took an interest in researching the different species and trying to take pictures of them with her phone. The phone wasn't cutting it so I surprised her with this camera package. She loves it. It takes amazing detailed photos as though she were a professional. I will certainly be purchasing another lens in the near future for her to continue taking advantage of this camera. I would highly recommend this. Everything that you get for the price is well worth. We are very pleased!

This bundle is amazing. There isn't a better deal for a sony a6000 that I've seen. The quality of this little camera is great for vlogging or even setting it up on a tripod. This is my go to camera for all trips. It is incredibly light and compact and the auto-focus is amazing. The battery life is as expected. It was probably difficult for Sony to fit any decent sized battery in such small frame. But as long as you keep a few spares like the ones in this bundle, you'll be fine for a full day of shooting.

I use this camera a lot. I love how fast the auto focus is. Face recognition is nifty. The burst mode is fast. Electronic viewfinder looks great! I can carry the camera with me anywhere. The kit lens is nice and small and performs well enough for my needs. The ability to aim the flash up to bounce light off the ceiling is awesome! Battery life is decent if you’re not shooting all day, but it was shipped with 2 extra batteries and an external charger. This being my first Sony camera, I have been given a great first impression of the Sony alpha ecosystem.

I received this camera bundle with same-day shipping and was pleasantly surprised that it arrived 6 hours after I placed the order. The camera did not come with the original AC adapter but after contacting Amazon, they quickly resolved the issue. I have been able to test the camera less than a handful of times and it works great. I have read issues about the battery life being an issue but I haven't run into that problem yet. The wifi on the camera is great as well! Not too sure if I will use everything that comes in the bundle package, but I'm sure they will come in handy one day. I would recommend this camera at this price point and am happy with my purchase and great customer service by Amazon!

Well like everyone else I love this camera. I bought the camera along with a big bundle of camera gear from Focus Camera. The bundle included a number of things that I really didn't care about, but it did include a fast SD card and two spare batteries... Definitely necessary items! Sadly one of the spare Wasibi batteries didn't work once I tried to charge them up. A quick email to the seller and a new battery was on the way. Within a couple of days I received a complete battery kit. Two batteries and a new charger. Well done Focus Camera.

This camera is amazing - the package is complete and Focus camera has provided great customer service!

I picked this camera kit out for my friend's graduation present. I liked the camera and kit so much that I purchased the same camera for my wife's birthday (although I upgraded the kit $10 to include the Corel software).

Customer Service story: We received the camera in time to take it for my daughter's out of town graduation. Unfortunately, we left the software license code in the hotel room. I contacted Focus and they sent a replacement license code right out without any issues! We just received the new code so I haven't had a chance to try out the Corel software. See below for feedback on the other accessories.

Shipping was very fast and arrived a day early (even with Prime shipping). The camera and accessories were packaged very well.

The bag is large for this size camera, but is a good place to store all your gear; I would use a smaller bag for everyday use.

We also replaced the strap with the Peak Design Leash (excellent strap).

The handstrap is too large for this size camera. We replaced it with the SpiderLight hand strap.

The batteries and charger work well - the batteries charge in a few hours. The battery doesnt last long so having spares is a must. The 64GB memory card is adequate (You need 64GB or larger to use the XAVCS video format for best video resolution)

The filters are a good addition. We keep the UV filter on all the time to protect the lens.

The camera is amazing! I have a Canon T4i and this Sony mirrorless camera is better. Some of the benefits:
- It's smaller for easier travel so you can use it more often
- Super fast focus (one of the fastest available) with many more focus points than my Canon
- Burst mode: 11 shots / sec (one of the fastest available)
- Large lens availability (many more lenses available than the Canon mirrorless that I compared it against)
- Continuous Follow Focus: camera will lock focus on someone and keep them in focus - especially useful for video
- Picture and video quality is amazing!
- Camera is easy to use, but also has full DSLR controls so the user has full control if they want it.
- Electronic OLED viewfinder: this is an advantage over an optical viewfinder since you can see how camera setting changes will impact the image.

Negatives:
- Camera has wifi but does not have Bluetooth. Camera has the older NFC (which we havent tried yet). Wireless will let you connect and remote access the camera to take pictures, the phone will display the camera view so you can use it as a video monitor. You can even take pictures without a memory card and the photo will transfer directly to your phone! Wifi would be useful / necessary for Vlogging. Wifi can be used to transfer photos to a pc or phone so that you can post online (Instagram / Facebook / Etc)
- The rear screen tilts but doesn't fully flip for self portraits - you would need to use a phone via wifi for that
- The battery life is pretty short; make sure to have spares with you. This is a sacrifice for the small form factor. Can use an external battery with usb cable in place of batteries.
- Overheating can be an issue if you take long videos. There are work-arounds to deal with this: Tilt the screen out to let heat escape. Using an external battery or a hand grip removes the batteries from the camera body which reduces heat. The camera has built in circuitry protection so the camera won't get damaged from overheating, but it would be a pain to have to stop your shoot till the camera cools. We haven't experienced overheating, but the tips above can help prevent it.
