I’ve been a Shark user for almost 15 years, but ever since this Bissell crosswave came out, I wanted to give it a try.

Pros:
cuts down time in vacuuming and moping
Good suction power
Seems to mop okay

Cons:
It is on the louder side
No attachments
There is no constant light, just whenever you hit the sprayer

I like the vacuum cleaner, but I need to have another one to have the attachments to get small areas under appliances and furniture. I will still keep this because of the 2 in 1 convenience, but I do think the shark with steam mop is a better combo.

I have been using the Bissell Cross-Wave for a couple of months. It is a great cleaning machine; I have engineered vinyl plank floors and vacuumed and mopped regularly, but the amount of dirt the Bissell sucked up on the first run amazed me. Having a separate clean water tank for mopping guarantees cleaner floors. My floors look great and being able to vacuum and mop simultaneously is a real timesaver. I have cats and the Bissell easily takes care of any spilled kibble and litter. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. However, it does have a few issues. The biggest for me is that there is no "edge-to-edge" cleaning and when you run it along the walls, it will leave about a half inch uncleaned; I overcome this by vacuuming perpendicular to the walls, but even then, it does only adequate job cleaning along the walls. It will not get into corners and is also a little too big to fit under a lot of furniture. You can control the water and use this just as a vacuum, but once you have mopped, the rolling brush will stay wet; If you don't want your rugs to get wet, it is better to vacuum them first, clean out the filter, then vacuum/mop the rest of the floors. I discovered that when cleaning a larger area, the Bissell will start leaking a few drops of dirty water or smearing wet grime; now when cleaning a larger area, I stop half-way, dump out the dirty water tank, clean the filter, take out the roller brush and rinse it off, and wipe off the bottom of the Bissell. This takes care of the problem. If you lift up the machine or even tilt it to go over a threshold, it will sometimes leak a little water; the same happens when you leave it standing but do not make sure that it is locked completely upright. You do need to rinse it out after every use (I just pour whatever is left in the clean water tank on the floor and then vacuum it up), then take it apart to clean and let dry for 24 hours; this means the Bissell is meant for periodic deep cleaning and not daily touch-ups. Finally, this is a fairly heavy and noisy machine. If Bissell could make this machine just a little more maneuverable so the it did a better job cleaning along wall and getting into corners, I think this would be a five-star appliance.

Okay, I hate to admit it but I will avoid cleaning my floors at all cost.. well that was before I purchased this Bissell CrossWave!! This vacuum mop quite literally couldn't be easier to use. I initially wanted a cordless vacuum mop, but figured since I have a larger home a corded option would be better. This vacuum mop is perfect and I am so happy that cleaning my floors now is not so horrible. You out water and solution in the tank, plug it in, push down on the button to expel water and then it immediately vacuums up the water. Takes no time at all to dry and covers large areas. I highly highly recommend for those who would like an easier option for cleaning your floors!

So I want to start out by saying the suction on this is great! I did a lot of research on all-in-one vacuum/mops and based off of that I wasn’t expecting this to be a true vacuum. I swept my floors before using it for the first time, and it actually picked up a lot of dirt and crumbs I missed! I couldn’t believe how brown and nasty the water was when I went to dump it! However, because the suction is so good, it was impossible to use on my area rug despite having a setting just for it. I wish this had a way to turn it down a bit so it didn’t pull rugs off the ground.

This is fantastic for hardwood floors! Carpet takes a bit to dry (to be expected) and this doesn't work on stubborn rugs that are impossible to vacuum. However, this is AMAZING and professionally cleans hardwood, tile, and carpet. It's easy to disassemble to clean. The cord is long enough and not annoying. Highly recommend if you want your floors to sparkle. It's very easy and I'm debating offloading my cordless dyson because of how great this is!

When this first arrived I was not sure that it would work well. Seemed a bit flimsy and didn’t clean the floor to my satisfaction. Tried it on an indoor/outdoor rug with mixed raised piling and it didn’t work great. Same with a concrete basement floor (but that has sand in it which has made cleaning it hell regardless of cleaner)…. But once I got the hang of it, I now really like it. You need to take time to learn how it works. I find that using the cleaner while pulling back and then doing the vacuum part while moving forward works best (on both hard floors and my low rug). My living room rug went from dull to fab again with just one good washing (2 times to clean in-between). My kitchen & bathroom floors are so much easier to clean now. And don’t waste your money & time with the products sold by Bissel - 2 squirts of dawn liquid, 1/4 cup of white vinegar and hot water to mid bottle are doing. Better. I tried the sample bottle which came with it. & didn’t like the smell or the way the floor looked after - this mixture works great!!!!

Glad I gave it a chance - MUCH easier to clean the floors now. Thanks Bissell

I have been cleaning my hardwood floors for thirty years and didn’t realize I was doing I
It the hard way!
I have used the moo and bucket system, the steam and pad system, and even doing them by hand. All to some success.
But I ordered this Bissell hardwood floor, wet and vacuum system. Very easy to use As it scrubs the floors with water and vacuum the water back up at the same time and a separate dirty water tank. My floors looked the best they have ever looked, cleaner than I have ever been.
If you have hardwood floors and don’t have this vacuum cleaning system, you need to order one. I’m 85 years old and a homebuilder in my past life and I know what I’m talking about.
It cleans fast, easy floors come out dry even if they’re old or hardwood floors, and you may not Be completely sealed such as was new. This is the only way to clean your floors. Bissell, thank you for making this product. I have recommended to other people I told them I would buy this product for them if need be.
And did I mention that it’s easy to clean the floor cleaner after using it.

I purchased this because I'm lazy. I can't be bothered to sweep and then mop. I've used this once and damn I knew my floor were dirty but, not that dirty. I live in a fairly small home with tile throughout. One tank was more than enough for the entire house. I went over the house three times and still had leftover water. Took me about an hour or so. I have a few rugs and furniture I needed to move out of the way. I like how the floors dry really fast with this machine. Should note that it is quite loud. Cleaning it afterwards was easy, but tedious. Remember I'm lazy. Overall for a lazy girl like me it wasn't too much trouble. Would def recommend!

Pic 1 was the entire house. Pic 2 was my bathroom. 🤢🤮

Recently, I just moved to Philly. City living means tracking in crud from outside, so having a good way to keep your floors clean is a must! I brought with me a Swiffer WetJet, and that worked for only quick little one overs. Actual cleaning though? No. Wasn't going to cut it.

Despite how much I swept and mopped, there was always crud left on the floor. There's nothing more wildly frustrating than finishing cleaning your floor for a second time and then stepping on crumbs. Nightmare.

Finally bit the bullet and got this and oh my God. In the time it would take me to sweep this carpet-less house, it's vacuumed and mopped. The floors are clean, they're shiny even! This saves me so much time and energy!!

While I would say for really caked on mud or something, you may still need to spot scrub places, but for an every day tool? Look no further!

I have dreamed of a vacuum/mop system for years. This little beauty does not disappoint. It usually takes me 3.5-4 hours of cleaning to get my floors looking and feeling this good. I was done in less than an hour! We have long haired pets and young children, so there is always a mess somewhere- and this little machine is a time saving dream. I have three vacuum's, multiple mops( both wet and dry). I could have saved a small fortune in cleaning products and appliances had I found this years ago. I checked before buying and you can purchase different style rolls, replacement parts, the addition warrantee and it still cost less than any of my shark or Dyson vacuums. I also own the bissel carpet cleaner and am pleased with that.
I would say this is a no brainer for anyone who doesn’t enjoy wasting time on a job that can be done more efficiently and more effectively. Even if I had to replace this every single year, I still don’t see how I wouldn’t save time and money!!
*We have vinyl throughout the entire house along with a few scatter rugs.

I'll start by saying my Crosswave gets ALOT of use. My house is almost all hardwood or tile. With kids and pets a day rarely goes by where I'm not at least spot cleaning with this.
It worked wonderfully for about 6 months then I started having troubles with the sprayer heads not squirting the cleaning solution. I really tried to avoid calling customer service 😒
I had a similar machine from a different company before this one and customer service was a nightmare.
I tried all the trouble shooting hints and nothing worked so I finally called.
I was on the phone maybe 20 minutes and within a week my machine was replaced with a new one since it was still under warranty.
I was so thankful!

Now pros and cons....
It has preformed great on hardwood, tile and an outdoor rug we use as an area rug.
It sucks up dust, crumbs and car litter with no issues. It's even sucked up a few toys or strings by accident and it was easy to fix each time.
It doesn't get clogged with pet hair or hold onto smells as long as you follow the cleaning instructions. It's very easy to remove and clean the brush and filter both of which have held up very well.
I suggest getting an extra of each so one set can dry while you're using the other.
CoNS-
The only 2 things I can really complain about( and honestly they aren't awful enough to really loose a whole star but since I can't take half a star I'll round down).
There's a dead zone about 2 inches from the wall that the machine can't reach and it does leave a bit of water behind of you leave it sitting on the floor.
Easily solved by placing it in the tray it comes with though.

Overall I'm very pleased with this and can't live without it at this point.
I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for something like this.

I have been looking for a way to clean our condo outdoor lanai for some time now. We live in a condo that has neighbors below us and we are not allowed to hose down our lanai, as the dirty water would just wash down into the units below us (the neighbors get pissed and it is really not nice to do), so we have been using a mop and bucket. The mop and bucket are a real pain, and it really is a lot of work to get the 200+ sqft area clean. I read through so many reviews and searched for a unit that would work. I stumbled on this for doing hardwood floors (by the way, never put water down on a hardwood wood floor or use this to clean your hardwood floors… you will swell them and ruin the finish. Go to your floor manufacturer and ask them how to clean them) and thought this “should work”. So I bought the unit and used it. I have to say, it was AWESOME. I am not compensated in any way, I am just a regular person trying to clean this outdoor space, and I am really glad I found this unit. Adding the water and cleaning solution is easy as it goes in the top container, and the bottom container catches the dirty water. Only opportunity for design improvement is to have a larger dirty water container that is a big as the cleaning solution tank, so you can empty the dirty water and refill the cleaning solution container at the same time. But, it is not a big deal. Using the machine was easy. Just add the solution and start the machine by pushing the top button ( I used the carpet setting, as the tile was really dirty and it puts out more solution with the carpet setting) pulled the trigger to release the solution, waited (5-8 seconds) for it to pump the solution to the spinning cleaning brush and then started on the tile. You have to be patient and take your time. Start with the agitator at the wall and pull it toward you slowly, and I mean slowly. You will see it leave some solution behind on the floor as you pull it back, then push it forward over the same area you just left the solution on, and you will have gone over the same area twice. Remember go really slowly. Then slide to unit to the left or right at the wall and do the same thing for your next strip. Just keep repeating this for the whole floor. Since our Lanai was really dirty, it took 4 full containers of solution and about 6-7 containers of dirty water emptying to do ~200 sqft. It took me a little over an hour, including moving the rattan furniture to each side, but when I was done, it was dry and supper clean. I am so happy I found this Bissell unit. I baby sit my 14 mo old grandson, and he loves to go out on the lanai and look at the golfer’s on the tee box below as they tee off. Before I found this unit it was alot of work to clean up the lanai for him. Now, I don’t have to clean his feet after he goes out there. I would highly recommend this unit for my application.
