Asani Level 1/2 EV Charger: Portable and Powerful 16A

This charging cable does everything that you need to keep your hybrid EV charged. It’s probably a bit slow for a full EV. For me, one month after getting my plug in hybrid l still have more than a half tank of gas because I charge every night and run mostly on the battery

When I originally got this charger it was a little hard to get out of the charging port. It worked great but after a month I had a hard time getting it out and when I did one of the prongs came loose on the charger and it no longer worked. I contacted the customer service and they were so easy to work with and sent a replacement right away. The new one has a button where it clips into the car which makes it so much easier to remove. I think they did this update as a few people were having the same problem. If the first charger didn't have a prong come loose I would have given five stars for material. The new one that I received as a replacement feels improved.

We bought this for our Jeep 4XE plug in hybrid as a backup charger. As of now, we have the original charger mounted to our garage wall. We needed this backup so I didn't have to keep moving the other one. Sometimes we charge at our vacation home which has a standard 110 outlet. We tried this with a standard 110 outlet with no issues at all. The Jeep 4XE can be finicky with chargers. I also have a Tesla and tested it on that. Since it's only level 1, it's perfect for a small battery plug in. Don't expect a fast charge, but you should be able to recharge your battery in a PHEV overnight. The gauge of the cord is very thick, and that's reassuring. It's at least 50 percent thicker than the stock plug. I would guess it's a 12 or 14 gauge. I am not 100% sure since I don't have a tool to measure. It did not get hot while charging, but to be fair only plugged it in for an hour or so. The case is nice and it seems durable. It's not fancy, with minimal LEDs. Installation was simple plug and play. Make sure there is nothing else on the same circuit you are using to charge, and you should get the max charging rate. Overall a great backup, and potentially a daily driver if needed.

I purchase this for my inlaw as he has to occasionally drive far for work in his rivian 2024 r1t. he'll go to a clients house and work there but they don't always have a 220 and only a 110. so its good for him to be able to charge while hes working so he has electricity to spare for the ride home.

2 weeks. No issues. Fits our ford fusion 2019. Charges it within about 4 hours. Faster than the OEM charger. Ridiculously cheap compared to other lower rated chargers, which is odd, but you don’t always have to pay more for better. Nice little carrying case. Fast shipping. I’ll update if any issues arise.

Tried it overnight at the 110 volt level and it did great. Didn't get too hot. I'll be using this as a travel charger for air bnbs or if I get stuck somewhere. My Tesla is a Model 3 2023, I needed to use my converter plug to use this.

I purchased this charger to use with my 2024 Kia Niro EV, since it didn't come with one. I also use it with a 2022 Niro. I use it outside and have only used it plugged into a 120V outlet.

As the pictures show, it comes with a bag for storage. The bag has velcro on the back to keep it in place in your trunk, however I just keep the cable in the front trunk.

The length of the cable without the adapter is about 16' 8". With the adapter it is about 18' 7".

Overall, the charger works as expected. I'm glad that I didn't spend more, because this does what I need it to do and for a fair price.

I purchased this for my 2023 ID4. It works great for me. We had one to charge our car at home, but I bought this one for the road. It comes with manual, an extra 110-120 volt cable and a carrying bag. It is 1/4 of the price the original charger from Volkswagen dealership.
