WOLFBOX 50 Amp Level 2 EV Home Charger: Fast, Smart, and Reliable

Wolfbox charger works perfect. With it's lighted display, easy to read at night. The wolfbox app works good but interface is far behind others in features.

Works Great, as advertised. Easy use. Fast charging. I opted for hard wired model. 60 Amp service professionally installed by licensed electrician. Fast charging 48-50amps (depends on your electric service. Great lower cost product over competitors. Install Note: iPhone App requires pairing on 2.4 GHz signal. My internet providers box came defaulted to 5 ghz. ( 2.4 GHz is standard for home automation and security systems.) Once I enabled 2.4ghz, APP pairing was no problem.

Generally speaking I love this and would buy it again.

Love:

- satisfying click when you plug in to vehicle or holster

- holster for resting charger feels secure and can be located as you choose. It is not attached to the main unit

- charges at 48a with 60a circuit and fills my electron hungry EV quickly. Will adjust to whatever power your vehicle can accept or home can supply

- 25ft cable makes it versatile enough to work for multiple installations and vehicles.

Not as good:

- when app updates you have to reset preferences for plug to charge

- lots of taps in the app to do just about anything

Installation and setup was a breeze. Both the cable and the gun feel very sturdy. I get 11kW using a 70amps breaker and I get 40 MPH with my Tesla Model Y and 21 MPH with my Rivian R1S. I managed to install it right next to the breaker box and connected the cables straight into the breaker without needing a junction box or a tap connector. I like that the charger screen shows the actual voltage, current and temperature.

I finally got my Wolfbox installed yesterday. I downloaded the app and went through the setup. I am not tech savvy so some of the directions were confusing to me. In spite of that the charger is working and I am able to charge my car much quicker now!

The 25-foot cable easily reached our vehicles no matter how we parked.

The accompanying app was a pleasant surprise. It was intuitive and allowed us to manage charging sessions easily, including scheduling charges during off-peak hours to save on electricity costs.

We were concerned about how the WOLFBOX would perform under different weather conditions, especially since it was installed outside. A sudden rainstorm tested it, and the charger handled the situation flawlessly, continuing to function perfectly.

After several months of daily use, it’s clear that the WOLFBOX Level 2 EV Charger 50amp was the best choice we could have made.
