Chicco MyFit: Versatile 2-in-1 Booster Seat for Growing Kids

Service is poor and then sending a defect product. Returning proc is so complicated, sending wrong info by the seller, so time consuming just to return stuff. Poor communication

Bought this for my 3-year-old, who is now 7. We bought two, one for each car and use them daily and love everything about them.

SUPER easy to install (with the latch system it takes 1 min max)
Super comfortable (my son loves his seat and any kid that rides in this seat ends up falling asleep)
Easy to clean (both ours still looks new)
Cupholders are awesome (never had a spill, fits every cup, tumbler, water bottle etc. we've had)
Chair is super sturdy, worth every penny

First, let me say that this seat is for older, bigger children. It cannot rear-face, and while the minimum weight is listed at 25lb, for safety reasons, children of that weight should remain in a rear-facing seat until they outgrow it.

I ordered this seat for a few reasons. One reason was that I needed a seat with a higher harness limit than most standard seats. The harness on the My Fit goes to 19.5 inches from the seat; 1.5 inches higher than our Graco 4Ever DLX. My grandson is 7.5yo and is ASD level 2; he is wiggly and impulsive, and definitely not ready for booster training yet (we’ve tried). For reference, he is 46 inches tall and weighs 42lb. According to my research, each inch of seat height is roughly equal to one year of growth. He has a couple of inches of growth room in the My Fit harness, and hopefully will be more ready for a booster in the next year or so. I have done much reading over the past month, and I am impressed with the safety ratings of this seat. I also like the thick, comfortable padding.

My son and DIL have had the base model of the My Fit in their car for the past two years (the cover does not zip off), and they really like their seat. I chose the My Fit Zip model with the zip-off lining, and I would urge anybody who has a child not fully potty trained, or one that drinks in the car seat, to upgrade to the My Fit Zip. It is worth the extra money to be able to unzip the pads and toss them in the wash without taking the whole seat out of the car to remove the cover. If you have a smaller child, I would recommend the My Fit Zip Air seat; it has the premium Latch connectors with the Super Cinch tightener, making latch installation very quick and easy. Since we wouldn’t be able to use the latch installation, I went with the more moderately priced My Fit Zip.

I installed the seat using the vehicle seat belt, because my grandson weighs more than 40lb. I have a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. The seat is a bit bulkier than our Graco 4Ever, and weighs a couple of pounds more, but it fit well in my vehicle and it was as easy to install with the seat belt as our Graco was.
The width of the seat is listed as 17 or 17.5 inches on several review sites, but the width of the seat where it meets the vehicle seat back is roughly 11.5-12 inches, so it will fit in smaller cars.
I am extremely happy with the quality and heavy-duty construction of this seat; it is well worth the money we paid!

If you hate struggling with car seats then this is the one for you! We originally purchase one for our daughter, and as soon as our son was big enough we bought a second one! We anchor the seats into the clips of our vehicle, and the clips on this chair are by far the easiest we’ve ever used. They latch on with no problem and when you need to pull the seat out, they pop out with the press of a button, just like a regular seatbelt! We have also used the seatbelt pass through when swapping the seats into other vehicles, and this pass through is also seamless. It is separated from the liner of the seat meaning there is one way, and one way only for the seatbelt to pass through!
Comfort wise, the kids never complain about being uncomfortable. The arm rests really help on those longer trips where the extra support is needed(and also help keep things like toys in the seat). Both cup holders are deep and are removable, making for easy clean up in the case of any spills.
Overall, this is one of the best car seats we have ever used, and will continue to use them until we ultimately need to buy new ones!

I bought 2 of these for my twin boys after they started growing out of their first ones that they had as small babies. Although these were on the pricier side, I wanted something that would fit them comfortably now and would also be something they could grow into.

They are very bulky, but I liked that. They have arm rests and each come with 2 cup holders. You can remove the cup holders if you want just one on each or if you'd prefer not to have them at all. There is a small level on the side that shows you how much the seat is angled and there are instructions telling you what is appropriate for either harness mode or booster mode. There are 4 levels of recline and 9 positions for the headrest to keep kids comfortable.

The harness is easy to use comfortable for my boys. It really does feel like they are safe in this carseat. The hooks to anchor it into the seats are also easy to use. There is a button to release so you don't have to try and use those clamps like with other seats. I really love this carseat and my boys love them as well. I highly recommend as a mother who wants to feel her babies are safe.
