    I recently purchased a De'Longhi Nespresso Vertuo machine after enjoying a Breville model I bought for my parents. While both machines produce coffee/espresso with identical taste, the main difference lies in their functionality and product design. The Breville machine features a slightly larger base, providing better stability for your cup during brewing. In contrast, the De'Longhi model has a smaller base. None of my coffee cups fit neatly under the spout. This issue becomes particularly frustrating when using 12 oz pods, as they fill the cup to the brim, leaving little room for maneuverability. You’ll need to transfer the coffee into a bigger cup if you want to add milk.

    Additionally, the De'Longhi water tank lid is not attached by hinges, leading to frequent accidental falls into the tank during refills. In comparison, the Breville machine's flip-top lid offers a more convenient and secure design. In conclusion, the coffee tastes the same but one is more user friendly than the other.

    This is my third Nespresso machine. I love it. It’s easy to use. You have to use the Nespresso vertuoline pods with this machine. I’m the only one who drinks coffee in the house, so this is great so I make one cup at a time. Easy to fill with water and empty the used capsules. Nespresso also recycled the pods if you send it back to them. Machine is easy to clean, follow the instructions on the Nespresso website.

    We’ve been Starbucks/Keurig people for years. During Covid we moved away from Starbucks and began concentrating on the coffee we make at home. We bought a Bosch, built-in coffee machine which is in the basement because we’ll have to reconfigure the kitchen to make room for it. We had Nespresso coffee on a recent Viking trip and were so impressed we bought one when we got home. The pods are about $1.25 each but the coffee is amazing! We use a small frother and 1/2 & 1/2 and are delighted with the results. The Keurig we previously used and the Nespresso machine are currently side-by-side on the counter, but we only use the Keurig when we’re in a hurry and just want a quick caffeine fix. We had a Miele coffee station in a previous house & I hated the cleaning ritual that accompanied it. This coffee is every bit as good and nowhere near the mess or expense. We have decided not to install the Bosch machine we bought. I wish we’d discovered this sooner!
