Bought the Q Revo on Amazon 8 months ago...What an outstanding robo-vac. We love it. We live in a 2300 sq/foot single story historic home with only wood floors, so we knew we wanted to save time mopping....the Q is amazing!! Did a ton of research on it, too, and this was the best bang for the buck!!! Replacement bags/parts are very cheap...cost of use, low. Automatic everything!

We just set the desired level of vacuum suction and mop water level, pick the rooms to do, and voila, it does it all while we run our errands, or while at work. It even notifies you if the water needs changing, or it gets stuck (which is rarely does). While I wish i bought a robo-vac years ago, I think waiting for this technology/capability mix is just fine.

This is a serious upgrade from my previous Roborock product--which I also loved. We had the vacuum robot (no mopping) which I was obsessed with. Then one day my husband said he thought we should get this one and I was like, is it my birthday? We moved the non-mopping robot up to the second floor and installed this one in its place. It does a great job of vacuuming and mopping. I run it in the kitchen every day, and try to do the other rooms each day as well. My floors have never been cleaner. It doesn't get into very sharp corners, but that's to be expected.
One thing to note: it frequently goes back to the base to wash its mops, and I wish it would also empty out its vacuum compartment each time it does this, as I do have a complaint that if it does all four rooms in our downstairs, it gets too full and clogs up the extractor. This means I have to make it clean one or two rooms at a time, rather than just setting it to clean the whole downstairs. It's not the end of the world, and I suspect the manufacturer may offer a software update to address this issue. In the meantime, this mopping vacuum is chugging away cleaning for me and I am extremely happy with it.

I recently purchased the Roborock Q Revo, and I am beyond impressed with its performance. As a busy professional with a Toddler around, I needed a reliable and efficient vacuum cleaner, and the Roborock has exceeded my expectations in every way.

Pros:

Suction Power: The Roborock's suction is incredibly strong. It effortlessly picks up dust, and debris from both carpets and hard floors. Even stubborn dirt is no match for this powerful machine.

Smart Navigation: The intelligent navigation system is a game-changer. The Roborock maps out my home with precision, avoiding obstacles and ensuring thorough cleaning. The app allows me to set virtual boundaries and customize cleaning schedules, which is incredibly convenient.

Battery Life: The battery life is impressive. I have a fairly large home, and the Roborock can clean the entire space on a single charge. When the battery runs low, it automatically returns to the dock to recharge and then resumes cleaning where it left off.

Quiet Operation: Despite its powerful suction, the Roborock operates quietly. I can easily run it while I’m working from home or watching TV without any disturbance.

User-Friendly App: The app is intuitive and easy to use. It provides real-time updates on the cleaning progress and allows for remote control of the vacuum. Scheduling cleanings and setting no-go zones have never been easier.

Cons:

Initial Setup: The initial setup took a bit longer than expected. Mapping the entire house and configuring the settings required some patience. However, once it was set up, it worked flawlessly.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, the Roborock Q Revo is an outstanding robotic vacuum cleaner that combines powerful cleaning, smart navigation, and user-friendly features. It has made maintaining a clean home so much easier and more efficient. If you're in the market for a high-quality robotic vacuum, I highly recommend the Roborock. It’s worth every penny!

I use this robot in my warehouse. The best note about this robot vacuum is that it has significantly reduced the amount of dirt and dust in here. Dramatically reduced. That in itself makes this worth the purchase and I don't regret purchasing it at all. They also have great customer service!

Before I purchased it I reached out to Roborok to make sure that it would be fine to use in my warehouse and would work with all the lights off after everyone has left. It vacuums and mops while everyone is gone and is done by the morning when everyone has returned. But it isn't without issues.

- Stuck - there was a learning curve in the beginning to getting it to clean the whole night without getting stuck or something stuck in its roller brush. This meant not leaving pallets down on the floor (it tries to squeeze underneath/through the openings), or blocking places it could get stuck in. The "No Go" zones and walls are helpful, but I'll say more on that below.
- Map issue #1 - It wouldn't map the whole space. I checked the range for the robot and saw it could mop 4305sqft of area and assumed it would get my whole sub 3ksqft of space, but it would stop about 4/5 of the space and call it the whole area. I tried placing it at the opposite end and had the same issue.
- Map issue #2 - once in a while it just loses its map or moves the dock to another location on the map. This is frustrating because it takes some fine tuning to set "No Go" zones and set up different sections. This is all lost if that happens. This could be fixed by software updates I assume.
- No Go Zones - sometimes the vacuum will get stuck in a "No Go" zone because it'll find itself in there and then say it can't get out because it's a "No Go" zone. My solution was setting up larger boundaries so it couldn't squeeze into an area near one of these zones.
- Cliff detection - We have a slight ramp at our entrance, but the vacuum was getting stuck on the sides of it. I ended up setting thin "No Go" zones over the edges to keep it away, but I was hoping it could figure this out on its own.
- Mop - This isn't a deep cleaning mop. It's not gonna scrub. It's good at maintaining cleanliness, but you should get your floors cleaned and then this will maintain that.
- Clogging - The vent in the dock that takes the dirt from the vacuum to the dust bag clogs. This seems to only be an issue due to large pieces getting caught in there (there are two 90 degree turns), but it wouldn't know there was an issue and the vacuum would just stop picking up dirt because the bin was full and not emptying.

Overall I would def recommend this vacuum/mop, especially if you have ways to mitigate some of its short comings.

I absolutely love my Roborock Q Revo. He does everything I need him to do. I waited to post a review until I was sure that he was the one, but we’ve been in a relationship since July of last year so I think he’s a keeper. All he asks of me is a little attention from time to time. I go to work every day and so does my Roborock. I set his schedule, tell him where to go (mapping is phenomenal), and change out the water every day (can get pretty gross if you neglect the dirty water tank). I clean him up once a week wiping his sensors and base and swapping out his brush, filter, and mop pads with fresh ones (I purchased extras to allow for cleaning and swapping). l change the bag every couple months. In return for my modest efforts, he does all the heavy lifting. I regained literally hours of free time that I spend doing things I find infinitely more enjoyable than vacuuming and mopping and my back is so happy. I have about 2,500 square feet of vinyl plank flooring throughout my house along with low pile area rugs and both are always perfect when I come home. When we have heavy foot traffic, my guy comes to the rescue. When I spill something in the kitchen, it’s cleaned and dry before I could have even retrieved/prepared my old vacuum and mop. Every once in a while I leave a barstool in a place that trips him up (he gets stuck and needs to be physically returned to the charging station), but I apologize for only thinking of myself and return him to his dock. Then, we agree to start fresh the next day. I hope our relationship stays just like it is right now.

This vaccum is the best purchase decision ever. We have a mix of hardwood and carpet floors and the Q Revo handles them all with ease. We also have rugs on the hardwood floor areas and it handles those easily as well. It will lift the mop pads when it detects the rugs and then vaccum the rugs and then once the rug ends it will auotmatically drop the mop pads back down and continue mopping.
We have a dog and when it rains our back yard will become muddy and the dog will track in mud on her paws. After this we use the mobile app to set the Q Revo to mop with the appropriate amount of water flow we want (high, medium, and low) and set it to work. Typically we will have it go room by room (selectable in the app) but if we have it go through the whole house it will know when the mop pads need to be washed and it will return to the dock to do so.
To talk about the dock: AMAZING
The dock has 2 water tanks and the bag for the auto-empty dust bin in the vaccum. Depending on how high you have your flow for water the clean water tank last a really good amount of time. The dock has a LED on the front that will turn colors to let you know if there is something that needs you attention. The amount of dust that the bag holds is good and it doesnt require it to be replaced very often. When the vaccum returns to the dock it will auto-empty the dust bin into the dock and that is the only loud part about the whole process. It sounds like a normal vaccum for just about 5-10 seconds and then it is done.

Overall if you are looking for a good entry into the robot vaccum category, the Roborock Q Revo I belive is the best entry point. 99% of the features of the S8 series for a considerably lower cost.

This little robot works hard to keep our floors clean. I think it could use a little more dust bin capacity to hold all the dust and grime from our dirty floors. I've had to spend a fair amount of time unplugging clogs in the robot and the dust shute. I also wish it used a reusable dust collection bin instead of a bag. I've only had it a month and it's already on the third dust bag. I also discovered that you can't put it on Do Not Disturb and expect it to resume cleaning after docking for a recharge. I'm not sure of the logic behind this feature. However, you can turn the volume down and achieve the same result and it will finish cleaning after docking for a recharge or mop clean.

At first the little robot got itself into some situations where it got trapped. I thought it had run away more than once and even looked for it in the back yard. I suspected our dirty house had overwhelmed it. But after finding it and fixing the locations where it trapped itself it seems to now get the job done without major problem.

I like the fact that it can determine what part of our house has wood or tile floors and mop those. I don't know how it does that but it does a good job cleaning carpets and mopping floors on its route. I tried telling it to vacuum first then do the mopping but that seemed to confuse it. It just kept vacuuming the same room over and over and never got around to complete cleaning or mopping. I had to turn that feature off to get it to clean the whole house.

I prefer to schedule the robot to clean at night while we are asleep. That seems to work well for us but it can be a little noisy at times. Only one time it got itself tangled up on a small rug where I found it trapped in the morning. On nights it is scheduled to clean I take a quick look around to make sure there are no new obstacles laying around for it to encounter. That helps make sure it does a thorough cleaning and doesn't get itself trapped.

I'm also surprised that our dog could care less about the robot running around the house. She pretty much just ignores it but will get out of its way if it gets too close - which is good. I'm just glad she doesn't think it is a new toy we got for her to chase around and attack.

So, here is the bottom line:
PROS:
- Has mapped and figured out the house and actually does a really good job vacuuming and mopping for us.
- Once all the traps were fixed it operates pretty much on its own while we sleep. I like that.
- I like that I can look on the map and see that it cleaned and mopped everywhere and made it back to the dock by morning.
- It seems to do a great job of vacuuming up our dirt and dust and our wood and tile floors are looking a lot better.

CONS:
- My wife calls it the "Robo Cop" because if you are up while it is cleaning you never know where it is going to invade your space.
- I think the battery could last a bit longer. It seems to need to go back for a two hour (or so) recharge before it can finish the 850 sq ft area it says it cleans three times a week.
- I really wish it had more dust storage capacity and could more easily handle dirty floors/carpets without needing so much cleaning, maintenance and unclogging of the robot. But it is nice that it will tell you what the problem is so you realize it needs some maintenance.

Overall, it does a good job and I am glad I bought it. We'll just have to see how it holds up after a few months and what other parts it is going to need replaced.

Update - 3 months later:
Still loving it!
I can’t believe that we had this vacuum cleaner only 3 months. It feels longer. Based on the statistics it has cleaned now the main living area in our house for 236hrs and with a combined cleaned area of 10,000 square meters (roughly 107k sqft). We have it running every day.
As mentioned in our original review, we have set the schedule to clean each room separately so that the dust bin gets emptied in between as it clogs up if the debris is too compressed.
The other day I noticed that the vacuum is running noisier than I remembered and it did not pick up the golden glitter (dog hair). Turns out, I forgot to wash the filter out. Since it takes a little while to get the filter dry, I will now start to alternate between two filters so that the vacuum can run as scheduled and the washed filter can dry for a couple days.
I still love it. We have not experienced any major issues with this robot vacuum. The original review stands as written.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I totally love this robot cleaner. We have two golden retrievers and a cat. There is lots of dog hair in our house. I was never sure whether a robot cleaner would work for us. Our Roborock Q Revo is doing its best to convince us. We run it daily to vacuum/mop. We purchased this Roborock during the October Prime days. This is our first robotic cleaner.
Here are some of the things we learned:
1. Definitely need to divide into rooms and schedule each room separately: this robot vacuum does not know when the small dust bin in the robot is full and that it would make sense to go back to the main station to empty (we run it on ‘customized’ - first vacuum, then mop). In order to make it go back and get emptied, we have in each schedule only 1 room. We left enough time between the schedules to allow the washing of the mop pads to finish before the next schedule (room) is started. We had it run a couple rooms in the initial schedule setup but it compressed the dog hair so much in that small robot dust bin that when it is back at the dock, the compressed debris got stuck during auto empty.
2. You will need an active wifi/internet connection in order for the schedule to run. We had a total internet outage in our area: the robot did not know to run. You can start the robot manually but it will try to clean the whole house - this is not feasible with the dog hair we have.
3.1 Maintenance 1: in our case, we have to check weekly for any dog hair rolled up at the edge of the roller and remove it.
3.2 Maintenance 2: the tray at the base station, on which the mop pads are washed, is removable and requires a rinse off. The good thing is that it is removable. This was something I did not know to check for when I was looking at robot vacuums. This is definitely a positive point being able to remove the washing tray.
3.3 Maintenance 3: There is an expectation that the filter is washed out about every two weeks. Something that is absolutely necessary in this household.
3.4 Maintenance 4: Roborock is providing a list of maintenance items in their app and they keep track of the status for most of the maintenance items.
3.5. Maintenance 5: Dustbag in main station: I read somewhere that the expectation is that the dustbag lasts 6-7 weeks. Not here - way too much dog hair; we check once a week. In our household it lasts about 1.5 - 2 weeks. Oh - and I prefer the dust bags. I had a name brand fancy bagless vacuum. It was okay while we had only a cat. But adding 1 dog made me switch back to a vacuum with a dustbag because not all the hair could be removed from the bagless vacuum debris container. Now with 2 dogs and a cat, I needed extra help as we need to vacuum at least once per day.
4. Obstacle detection: may run over/into something. But this was something I knew ahead of ordering. My understanding is that the higher end versions of roborock have a better obstacle detection.
5. Auto wash and dry of mop pads. This is a big plus!
6. Detects rugs automatically and lifts the mop pads!
It provides also statistics. So far, our Q Revo has cleaned 27394 sqft total in 60 hrs.
In summary: we love this machine.
Wishes we have for it:
- auto detection when robot dust bin is full to return to dock to empty it and then continuing to clean.
- that is runs even if internet is out (in my case by room or resolve first wish). You can start it manually but it will run the whole house cleaning.
First off, I have had several robotic vacuums and mops up to this point, and all have been iRobot, except for one mop. They have always given me trouble after a short amount of time. I said I would never get another iRobot in my lifetime, and that is why I did a deep dive into robotic vacuums for weeks. I looked at YouTube’s videos judging how well they run, vacuum, and mop. I read the reviews under each each vacuum after looking at the videos. I was not going to get another robot that I hated. The videos and the reviews were all pretty similar with the Roborock Q Revo. The difference between the top of the line and this middle of the road version boiled down to two things: 1). The top of the line vacuumed just a bit better than the Q with two rollers, but not enough to warrant not purchasing it to spend more money and get Roborock’s top model. 2). The Roborock Q Revo seemed to get more positive reviews with the round mop heads than the flat mop heads, even with the sonic motion. This is the reason for my purchase of the Roborock Q Revo. My hardwood/laminate floors were pretty dirty, being off the kitchen and not getting the attention they deserve. It took 4 washings to get them to shine like a new silver dollar! The first two did not do a good job and I was getting worried. Then I put Roborock’s floor cleaning detergent, that is low sudsing, into the water and the third wash the floors looked really good. The 4th wash they were perfect and company worthy. The tile in the kitchen/dining area are really clean too. I am so happy with it. The area rugs in the living room and hallway get very clean. The area rugs in the bedroom are Persian rugs and they grab the dog hair more than the ones in the living area, so they don’t come out spotless. Almost but not 100%. You would have to get the top of the line for that. However, they are wonderful in the living/hallways. I can’t tell you why this is. The Q Revo robot does not have two rollers, and just having one I think is the problem. This is not a top of the line robot, yet it performs almost as good. My living area is 45’ x 25’ and depending on the work you want the robot to do (vacuum both directions or just in one direction) and how you want the mop to clean (deep or regular) you will get another room done as well. It all depends. It washes and dries the mop heads better than the top of the line. The reviews showed there was still some dirt on the top of the line robot’s mop heads. The Q’s come out perfect. The robot is easy to clean inside, and the filter is washable. I might be able to go two rooms without getting new water, but my rooms are very large. The tray at the bottom of the Q Revo comes out and I can wash it at the sink, if it has dog hair in it. The top of the line has a different cleaning method and it is harder to clean the mop washing tray, compared to the Q. (Having 4 dogs it gets a workout!) It has a dust bin bag and it is pretty large. I am glad for the bag, even though I thought it might be better with a bagless option, I now prefer the bag. I opted for the white robot and it is just beautiful. If you are having doubts, don’t. It is a worthy, and pretty great vacuum and mop. People seem to love it and I can see why. I would buy it again. It has made my life easier and I am thankful. Oh! I have called customer service two time already as I didn’t understand something, and they were just wonderful and they were there on a Sunday! Try to do that with iRobot.
Roborock Revo Q. We were iRobot customers since 2010. We've owned 3 Roomba vacuum robots, including the S9. We also owned the Braava M6 mopping robot. After 13 years as an iRobot customer, we made the switch to Roborock.
Wow! The LiDAR navigation is lightyears ahead of the VSLAM or whatever iRobot calls its camera-based system. And that means iRobot does not have a camera filming the inside of our house anymore. Unlike some of its Roborock siblings, the Revo Q has no cameras at all - just LiDAR and sensors.
Our first floor is about 1,600 SF, and the Roborock Revo Q mapped it in 7 minutes. Seven minutes! That took hours with the S9 and M6 - each having to map separately. Our iRobot products would get lost, repeatedly, run into doorjambs and walls, and we spent more time chasing the robots down than was worth it. The M6 mopping robot was the worst. iRobot's Customer Service gave us idiotic suggestions and then sent us a new M6 unit. We will give it away, as we are not going to spend more hours mapping it.
In contrast, the Roborock Revo Q draws a super accurate map, and navigates through a very complex floor plan accurately. Plus we don't have to leave the lights on - unlike robots with cameras, the Revo Q can see in the dark. We have no carpet and only hard flooring - made up of tile floor in the master bathroom, stone flagstone in the front entry and linoleum throughout the rest of the first floor.
Cleaning is good too. Both vacuuming and mopping do a great job. We do use the Roborock floor cleaner added to the clean water tank. Some people complained about dog hair clogging the base station self-empty system. We have a medium size dog (60 lbs), and have seen no issues with clogging.
We made one inquiry to Roborock Customer Service about the floor cleaner (to verify it is low pH, and safe for linoleum), and we got a quick response. Otherwise, we got the Revo Q up and running without too much trouble. Connecting to the internet could have been faster, as it appears I needed to have my phone connected to the 2.4G network (I had it on the 5G network). Once that was figured out, the Revo Q connected and updated.
The Roborock app could use some work as some features are not super obvious. It took me a while to figure out how to customize the cleaning in each room (that is, setting the levels of vacuum or mopping, and if you want vacuum AND mopping, or one or the other). I have the Revo Q vacuum only on the stone flagstone of the entry. And it took some time to find the cleaning history within the app. Hopefully, Roborock will make the app more intuitive.
Roborock should make the robot a little smarter too - like knowing it just finished washing the mop after completing a room cleaning and does not need to clean them again 10 minutes later when sent to clean a new set of rooms. Or to know that it should continue to dry the Revo Q's mop after it was briefly sent out to vacuum only.
As noted on many YouTube reviews, the navigation for the Revo Q is limited in obstacle avoidance. Not a big deal for me, as I pick up cords dog toys and our area rugs - so the rug's fringe or cables do not get eaten. Besides being a threat to delicate items like cables or shoelaces, the navigation is great. The Revo Q does not bang into or manhandle furniture like the Roomba S9 did. Chair and table legs are encircled accurately, with no fuss.
We've used robots for floor cleaning for 13 years and should be hard to impress, but Roborock has impressed us. We can now clean the floors in half the time that our iRobots needed.
Performance:
First and most importantly, the Q Revo vacuums very well. Mopping is not as great as I expected but that’s what you get with a max of only 200 rpm (Q Revo) vs 3000 vibrations/min (with the S8). The mopping pads don’t entirely lift off the ground, even on low-medium pile carpet but it’s easy to take them out before vacuuming. It gets stuck on every cable and cat toy it finds and drags them halfway across the room, sometimes even jamming the wheels or rotating brush without even noticing. Clothes and small rugs are also frequently mistaken for carpet and also sometimes get stuck in the vacuum and dragged halfway across the room. So there is a bit of pre-cleaning prep that needs to be done when using this. Otherwise it works wonderfully. We previously had a roomba i7 and it just doesn’t even compare.
Self-cleaning features:
The dock has an incredibly powerful vacuuming feature that gets the vast majority of dust/garbage out of the Q Revo. However, on the first few runs it has repeatedly jammed from the amount of dust/garbage getting pulled through the narrow tube connecting the Roborock to the dock’s vacuum bag. Picture attached of the stuff jammed in the dock tube from 1 round of “Vacuum Max+” cleaning.
The water tanks are pretty straight forward in refilling/emptying. The entire top of the containers comes off and most of the water empties out after each dump. Not very happy about not being able to use soap in these but it’s too early to tell if plain water will contribute to bad smells/mold.
Price:
$700 on sale during prime day (plus tax), so not cheap. It’s way too problematic for that much money and I think it’s worth maybe $550-$600 max.
Build:
The outside design of both the Q Revo and the dock look very nice, smooth and sleek. I am not a fan of the shiny black gloss over the dock’s vacuum bag area, since it catches fingerprints easily, but with a bit of extra cleaning it’s not a bad look. The water containers, vacuum bag, and Q Revo mini dust/garbage container are easily removable and cleanable.
That said, many of the parts are made of cheap plastic and don’t seem like they’re going to last long. The docking pad is already scratched up after 2 days of use and it feels fragile enough to break if anyone accidentally steps on it. The white-clear rubber suction tube connecting the Q Revo’s mini garbage container to the rotating brush area is very thin and floppy, and seems very easy to rip or puncture. The plastic part that brings water from the clean water tank to the Q Revo is leaking already, and it is on the back side of the dock next to where the charging cable is (read: electrical hazard). The individual parts are not easily found on Roborock’s website and if one of them needs replacing it costs hundreds of dollars to ship the dock/roborock back to China and even more for them to fix it and ship it back. Others online have complained that the company won’t even cover fixing Roborocks under warranty unless their negative reviews are deleted first..
Privacy: I wish this had the option to be paired with Bluetooth instead of wifi. The app demands access to your phone camera, phone’s location, and local network to set up the Q Revo. It is very alarming that even after setting up the Roborock and connecting it to wifi that the app was still using my phone’s location the next time I opened the app. For a robot vacuum that doesn’t have a camera this seems very unnecessarily intrusive.
Convenience: It is easy to schedule cleanings from the app, as well as off peak charging to reduce charging costs. The Roborock consistently is able to find its dock/starting location and dock itself without issues, except when getting stuck on cables/cat toys/other things. I am able to clean 1 medium sided floor of my house with each full charge when using “Vacuum Max+” (the highest vacuum setting) on carpets and high settings on the vacuum and mop for hardwood/tiles. This is for about 75% carpet 25% hardwood floors. It takes about 3-4 hours to fully recharge but since scheduled cleaning is available, this is not an issue. After the first few runs I have had to manually clean out the garbage/dust each time from the Q Revo and Dock due to the amount of stuff getting jammed, but afterwards the self-cleaning worked fine. I don’t see the self-cleaning being an issue with regular use. The water tanks hold enough water for a few runs and it is quick and easy to dump out/refill them. Mopping pads were dry after 3 hours of quiet heating. Self-emptying is incredibly loud but there is a “do not disturb” option to not self-empty between certain hours which is nice for when you are sleeping or in meetings.
Overall: 6.7/10. As of now there are a bit too many issues to be worth the price but it is one of their cheaper options and is far better than the other robot vacuum I’ve tried (Roomba i7). I see good potential for this brand but they need to fix major issues with the build quality, repairability, and privacy, and less major issues with obstacle avoidance. I am more happy with my purchase than not, but not enough to go around advertising this to all my friends. Not yet at least.
4.0 out of 5 stars Overall a great time-saver!
Finally took the plunge on a robot vacuum and am only sorry that I waited so long. I read a lot of reviews and decided on the Q Revo and I don't regret the decision. It's wonderful to have this chore completed automatically. I'm not sure it will replace vacuuming/mopping entirely but it definitely helps A LOT.
As per other reviews, I did have trouble at first with the auto-empty feature as it kept clogging and was not easy to clean as the chute is curved. We seem to have gotten beyond that though as the last couple of cleans it hasn't been a problem so hopefully with more frequent cleaning that will continue to be the case. I do have 3 pets and have read many reviews that the auto-empty is not ideal for pet hair. Not a big deal if I have to manually empty every now and then. UPDATE: THE AUTO-EMPTY FEATURE CONTINUES TO CLOG AND IT'S NOT EASY TO CLEAN OUT. If this feature is important to you I would probably not choose this model.
The vac and mop features work well. Will definitely need to be run in vacuum mode more frequently than an upright manual vacuum to keep up. Mopping seems to do a reasonably good job. Our wood floors aren't too dirty to begin with. My only real complaint is that there really isn't a good way to mop on multiple floors. I'd love to hear some tips if I just haven't figured it out yet! I have 4 levels and could use the mop feature on 3 of them. However, you must start the mopping from the base so that it knows to fill up with water. And you must finish at the base so it knows to empty the water. There is no way to manually empty the dirty water on the vacuum unit into the base or manually fill with clean water. You can't really carry the unit to another floor and expect it to mop (it also cannot notify you when it needs emptied or mop heads cleaned if not on the same floor as the base). I can work around this by telling it to mop the main floor where the base is, then pausing that and moving it to the actual floor I want mopped, then doing the reverse when I bring it back to the main floor. However, I might as well just manually mop the other floors in the amount of time that takes. I'm not sure why you can push the button for the auto-empty dust bin but not do the same for the dirty water.
Overall I would recommend this unit. It works great. I am definitely glad I made the investment. It is lacking in features for multiple floor mopping though. I wish I could manually dump or fill the water into the actual unit while on the base (just like you can manually request an auto-empty for the vacuum) and that it could pause and notify me if the mops need cleaned or water emptied while on a floor where the base isn't present.
