    I've personally owned Levoit, Coway, and IQAir air filters and I have to say, this is my new favorite. The sound levels are reasonable, it uses True HEPA filters without any ionizing or Ozone technology, and has a very high CADR (Clear Air Delivery Rate). Also on high speed it causes air to flow thru the room like an overhead fan which has a nice cooling effect (room size ~250 sq. ft). The mid-century modern aesthetics are a nice touch as well!

    I did deduct one star due to the sound being slightly higher in pitch vs other air purifiers I've used. It's only noticeable on the highest setting, but worth pointing out.

    1: the light on top lights the whole room up at night. Should be dimmed at least 80%
    2: a remote is necessary. I don’t want wifi - just an IR remote.

I plugged it in last night after he had been smoking for a few hours. It ran for about 3 hours total, walked in this morning and no smell at all! Works great!!

    I like mostly everything with this device, it works really well at eliminating odors from cooking, smoking, body odor, cat litter smells, it's got it all covered.

    Only note I have is if you have a cat the locking feature will not prevent the cat from messing with your settings, small gripe but otherwise perfect product.

    This is my second Coway air purifier, I have a smaller one in my bedroom. I love them! This one is in my small living room and works well for the space. I love the sleep mode because it saves energy. The purifier “wakes up” when it detects kitchen odors during meal prep so I know it’s working. Changing filters is super easy.

    Coway's Airmega 240 is ready to go out of the box. It's made from matte finished plastics that are more utilitarian than sleek, but the fun design on the grille gives the Coway a stylish flair. It feels robust and well made.

    It's very easy to use via the touch sensitive buttons on top. The automatic mode works nicely and adjusts as room conditions change. On the lowest speed it is barely perceptible. On medium, you can hear it a bit, but don't have to raise the TV or speak over it. On the highest speed it definitely makes decent noise, but you should not have to have it on high for long.

    We have the Coway in our 11' x 14' bedroom. The room has hardwood floors. I find that it keeps the air in the room smelling clean and fresh and also keeps our allergies from acting up much. The air intake is on the front while the exhaust is on the top, so we are able to push the Coway right up against the wall and out of the way. I love that you can completely turn off all of the LED lights for using it while sleeping.

    The filters are very simple to clean and / or replace when needed.

    All in all... a great air purifier.
