Dome Air Fryer: Blazing-Fast Cooking & Easy Cleanup (Up to 32 Wings!)

I absolutely love my Typhur Dome Air Fryer! Its unique dome shape not only enhances my kitchen's look but also circulates air more efficiently, ensuring even cooking. I’m absolutely loving this air fryer. It’s the most efficient of any of the air fryers I’ve tried. It has an extra-large cooking area, it is extremely quiet, and it’s super easy to clean. Plus, the phone app alerts you when your meal is ready, and makes monitoring or altering cook times and temperatures a snap. Bonus, it doesn’t smell of (toxic) plastic when it’s cooking, like my last unit did.

On the downside, it is a little spendy, but so far it feels worth the extra money.

We purchased the Typhur Air Fryer one month ago and we use it at least 5 times a week. While more costly than many air fryers, my wife stated last night, “I really like this!” We like the large food basket, the quiet operation, the quickness, and the app. We haven’t used the self-clean feature yet but expect that it will work well. The basket cleans easily. This is our 2nd Typhur purchase as we also have and enjoy the Typhur InstaProbe HT03 Thermometer that I purchased last year.

I just received this (my first air fryer) and have already used it for reheating meats, making toast (it's way better than the toaster), and cooking up bacon and breakfast sausage.

I purchased this to start cooking again. The electric company has increasd the surcharge for energy usage from 4-8pm again, and I had already cut way back on using my ovens. So far, I love this Dome air fryer. It's comparable to the microwave timewise for me, and so much more versatile.

The photo of the bacon is classic cut, upper row cooked at 400° for 5 minutes after a 5 minute preheat, the horizontal rows at 355° for 7 minutes. It all came out perfect! So much better than either the oven or cooktop, even the microwave can't beat it for evenness of cooking or time. The breakfast sausage browned much more evenly than I can ever get it on the cooktop.

The only thing that would improve this IMO is a deeper tray. The turkey legs and wings I reheated and crisped up had to be squished down to go in, but the came out with the skin nicely crisped back up (the turkey was originally cooked in an oil less deep "fryer") and did not get dry, tough, or have that weird taste I notice from microwaving meats.

It is really quiet, cleans up easily, and I love being able to use the app since I am usually multi tasking. It doesn't take up much more space on the counter than the toaster I had in that spot.

My favorite kitchen appliance!

This might be my 8th air fryer and, hopefully, my last. It definitely is the best one, but the actual reason for pulling the trigger on it? The self cleaning feature. My previous fryers were still in good working order, but eventually they look like they've never been cleaned inside....even though they have been--as much as possible. When they start looking absolutely awful, I've looked for other fryers and FINALLY one came up during searches that actually self cleans!

This as all the features you probably want in an air fryer. We've cooked steaks, vegetables, pizzas, toast, quiche, etc in it. No issues. Note the default settings are not always what you should use and consult the website or other info for cooking times. I overcooked a steak using the default setting which didn't match the Typhur website recommendations. Not too big a deal.

The app is useful and even necessary if you want to use the self cleaning feature. That button is not on the machine itself, so you have to set the app to self clean, but it works. Both my husband and I have the app on our phones, but only one person can be connected at a time. It's so quiet you don't even know it's on. For instance we're sitting at the kitchen table and it turns out my husband has already put something in the oven and I didn't realize because it's that silent.

$500 for an air fryer?, you might balk. Well, it's worth it if you like good quality and get sick of looking at well-used appliances that can't be cleaned after awhile. My last air fryer was a $200+ kalorik with French doors that looked great 2 years ago but looked awful more recently. I'd lift the heavy bulky thing and try to clean it over the sink, which was practically impossible. I had to be careful not to get any important parts wet, couldn't reach the inside of the oven well, and couldn't spray any solvent on areas that were coated with baked-on residue. There is no way to clean them adequately.

And then I started looking for a replacement. Yet I knew I'd have the same cleaning issue yet again, so I didn't want to spend even $200 for what I now considered a temporary product I'd replace again in another year. I was no longer interested in the Lagassi I had been looking at, forget the Ninjas....and, although I liked the Kalorik I used often, I knew it would look awful in a year or so, so no to that, too.

This one is a pleasure to clean. Sponge or use a damp cloth on the outside, and clean the drawer and inside rack with soap and water. And, occasionally, run the self cleaning feature for one or two hours to clean the fan that you can't see, but is getting splattered and dirty.

This is a night and day difference over my last air fryer. It’s expensive, but there are enough improvements to justify the pricetag. Very smooth and quiet in operation, self-cleaning, and airfrys beautifully. My last air fryer sounded like a truck was parked in my driveway, was a PITA to clean, and was a clunky experience. The Dome is so much more refined in every way.

The basket has a unique shape in that it’s massive but low in height. This could be a limitation for certain foods, but I found the shape to be huge advantage for cooking everything that I needed. You don’t have to stack food on top of each other, you just lay it out evenly. While it can’t roast whole chickens, it definitely have plenty of room for some quails! You can tell this was built to last with a 3 year warranty and built in self cleaning feature. Bonus points for having a futuristic design.
