The light pipe crevice tool nor the low reach adapter were included. I did receive the laser light floor head. It was out of stock everywhere I looked. I consider the a much better attachment than the light pipe tool and low reach adapter. The vac works great, does great on large area rugs and covers a large amount of floor before needing to swap batteries. If you have a lot of floor space that's lvp or hardwood this is the way to go. The motor head for area rugs is also great.

First, this is a genuine Dyson, so you already know it's probably going to be the most well-engineered device you can buy for what it is. Also, you know that you are going to pay an upfront premium for that quality. I've owned other models of vacuum cleaners, and I've owned several Dysons. There's nothing that comes close to the quality. Sure you have to pay more, once. Or you can go with a shabby competitor brand for less, but you get much less in quality *and* function.

This is quite the beast when you first encounter it. We have an older Dyson Animal from about 2001 that still works great. It's got the whole upright canister and the hose and it was the best thing around at the time. Then, for smaller upstairs jobs, we got the portable rechargeable Dyson Animal version in 2015 or thereabouts. That works well, and we didn't have to carry the big model upstairs all the time. Once in a while because the upright does a better job and there's no worry about how much battery is left.

When I saw this, though I thought it was sort of a combination of the two. The portable that we had was lighter and worked okay, but we still ended up carrying the big model upstairs when we needed to do a longer job. Using the canister model requires dealing with a cord and it's not exactly lightweight and maneuverable, but it has a large capacity bin and better suction than the portable. So, if you're already having to push around a big upright model to do a thorough cleaning, and you can use the portable for quick, small jobs that you can get done in less than 20 minutes without changing the battery or having to plug it in to recharge, then it's a great combination. This is kind of like having the strength and longevity of an upright with the convenience of a portable -- within reason and with a few compromises.

First, it's got better suction than the 2001 Animal upright model. That makes sense of course because the technology is 20+ years apart. And if it can beat the suction of the 2001, then it certainly does better than the portable from 2015.

The question is whether it's a replacement for both, or a supplement? You could make a good argument for either one, but I think the verdict is still out. The decision really comes down to one fairly significant aspect: weight. If you have the strength to work with this Outsize, then this is all you need. If not, then it's a great supplement to having the smaller portable that's light enough for the kids to use and the upright still takes some muscle to move around. This has become my favorite choice over the older portable. My wife prefers the older portable solely because it just weighs about 5 pounds less.

With the extra battery included with this model, and the three-speeds you can choose, this would easily take the place of an upright and last much longer than the portable.

So it comes down to two compromises. The compromise between this and an upright is that with an upright you have a flexible hose to get to places that you can't reach with any portable. The arm-strength needed is about the same because this is portable and heavy, but still puts a lot of that weight on the head when in use. It feels about the same.

The compromise between this and a smaller portable is mainly the weight. And it's really only about 5 pounds difference -- hardly noticeable for quicker jobs.

It's got more attachments and extras than an upright -- except for the hose. And an extra battery is included. The same great suction power and a nice display to show the battery life left so you can adapt the speeds to get longer life on the Eco mode, and turbo boost when you need the extra suction.

I'll admit a little bias after learning about James Dyson's "journey" to make the best vacuum cleaner, but I can objectively say that it's better than the other brands I've owned. My bias is only that I'm willing to pay more for a Dyson . . . for an equal quality competitor . . . but as far as I know, nothing comes close.

Overall, this is a very nice Dyson that, in my opinion, is a great vacuum cleaner. Worth the price. Five solid stars.

I have spent the longest time evaluating the DYSON Oversize Vacuum Cleaner of any product I have reviewed. When my girlfriends and neighbors heard I had this item they all asked the same question - Is it worth it?

After all of this time, I can answer that question with a big YES. It most definitely IS worth it. Especially if you have pets. Before I used my DYSON I vacuumed at least twice a day, quite often more, as I have a long-haired cat that sheds constantly. He and his younger brother can easily cover my carpets with cat hair. I have literally burned out two traditional vacuums keeping my home clean. The DYSON easily handles all of the daily cat hair, and does it quickly.

This unit comes with quite a few attachments, but I have found myself using three of them on a day-to-day basis, with the reach-under attachment attached. The Digital Motorbar XL is my favorite attachment, as the large area it covers will quickly clean my thick living room rug and the exposed wood floors. The smaller but highly effective hair screw tool is what I use on my thinner throw rugs, bed sheets, and tight floor spaces, and I finish up with the light crevice tool for corners, ceilings, and drapes. The reach-under tool has a 90-degree angle that allows you to get under furniture.

There is a lighted digital panel on the top of the vacuum body that displays the amount of time left on a charge. With three levels of power, I can choose how much suction power I need. Most of the time I have found the ECO mode is fine, but when there is a lot of dirt - a burst kitty litter bag as an example - I can quickly switch to Medium for more, and TURBO for extra heavy-duty jobs. I found I can go for 2-3 weeks in my small home until need a charge, and then it's simply removing one battery, attaching it to the charging station, and inserting the power cord, and my battery recharges. I typically charge mine in the evening, as it takes a few hours to reach 100% charge. You get two batteries, and I have never run out of charge before completing my cleaning routine.

Emptying the hairs and dirt is easy. I just remove the attachment wand from the canister, go to my wastebasket, and pull the lever on the side. Everything is ejected, and I reinsert the wand and am ready to go.

The value for me is the time I save with this vacuum. That's what makes it worth it for me. More time to spend on other things that matter to me. And if you run a business, that time is priceless.

OVERALL - I would give this six stars if I could. Keeper - for sure!

Ok jokes aside, and not trying to be someone who favorites Dyson vacuums I want to try and be as completely critical as possible.

Cons first:

Battery life isn't bad but not long when on used on Max/High suction power VS normal or Eco mode. I know its to be expected but even overall the battery life isn't long in this mode and while trade space here is price VS weight VS size etc I feel its worth noting. Along those same lines the surface your using the vacuum on will impact battery life based on the technology used the vacuum adjust to the different surfaces such as hard wood VS normal carpet for example.

While lighter than most its also heavier given the size of the unit again it makes sense but worth noting as I have a basic, corded, upright I believe its the "animal" or DC15 or something, can't quote the exact model but I've had it for years. (See picture) Point here is, the use of this cordless over something corded like the other Dyson model is really kind of specific to people who want similar, or better performance without the cord. I wouldn't call this more stair friendly than a far lighter, cordless vacuum made by other manufactures given its somewhat top heavy in its weighted design.

One point, good and not so good, auto change / sensing technology does work well and helps battery sustainment and longevity however it takes a few seconds to adjust to different surfaces so the delay response time might be a stretch but could be a negative, your call.

Final point, battery charging/station, and call it an attachment rack (which doesn't exists) is not provided aside from a place to mount the vacuum and charge the battery so your left with all these cool attachments, that have value, and no where to logically organize them on, or next to the vacuum or charging point.

If you read through the draw backs and are still reading you probably already know the many pluses of Dyson, and the idea it still gets 5 stars on my side should go without saying however, let me try to offer a few high points.

Warranty, its rare a company these days offers such a solid support or warrant service such as Dyson. I have, up to a year ago, still had my older vacuum serviced and fixed for no cost many years later. Great service if not sometimes a touch inconvenient.

Great suction power, and this newer cleaning system is rather hands free and easy to use.

Durable, this one has been dropped one or twice and is going strong, as has my older vacuum.

Great marketing, I mean, I think that's true but in this case I feel the product matches the marketing.

I think it was easier being critical than boosting about the vacuum and to that point I hope my review helps.

OMG! This vacuum, puts my old Dyson to shame! The suction power on this vacuum is incredible. I mean seriously, the first time I used it in the house you could see an immediate difference in my carpet. My husband even commented that the carpet felt softer and was noticeably cleaner looking! Since it has smart technology and 3 different suction levels, I decided to try it out on my Turkish rug (that has always been a pain in the butt to vacuum). Well, let me just say this…HOLY SMOKES! It is incredible and cleaned that rug like it was no work at all! Finally, I am able to get all the dog and cat fur out of my carpets and rugs, along with dirt and everything else that my pets, kids, and husband leave/track into the house. This is definitely one of the best decisions I’m made on an expensive purchase! So other things I love about it: noise level is pretty low, the storage tank capacity it a really good size, all the different attachments it comes with, the smart sensor, the ability to change strength on it for suction power, the no hassle on a cord (because that was my biggest obstacle in the past), the 2 batteries that seriously last a really long time, the ease of use, the attachment to clean under furniture, and the easy to empty bin. It is a bit on the heavier side, but that’s not a big deal. I do wish there was a way to not have to hold the power button the whole time though, it would be nice to have the option to just have it on. But that is my one and only complaint. I love this vacuum and am so happy I purchased it. Definitely would recommend to anyone who has little kids, pets, or just wants a super deep cleaning vacuum.

Love it!! Finally a Dyson with exchangeable battery packs and it runs for an actually solid amount of time to easily vacuum a whole house without needing to recharge. My only quip is the way you dispose of the bin, seems like there could be a lever on the compartment to open without having to disassemble the ‘stick’ part and the delay of getting the little roller rotating again if the rotation gets caught and having to try multiple times (because I lack patience). Otherwise, the best one yet and so happy with it.

- Above all, the cleaning power of the Dyson Outsize Total Clean is simply unmatched. The powerful V11 motor provides powerful suction, effortlessly removing dirt, dust, and debris from both hard floors and carpets. The high-torque cleaning head automatically adjusts to different floor types, providing deep and thorough cleaning without the need for manual adjustments.
- Large chamber capacity is the highlight of this cordless vacuum cleaner. The bowl holds 1.9 liters of dirt and debris and allows for extended cleaning sessions without frequent emptying. This is especially beneficial for larger homes or areas that require extensive cleaning.
- Impressive battery life with an additional plug-in battery providing up to 120 minutes of dimming power in Eco mode. When I use the Boost mode, this time is shortened, but I can clean constantly with the spare battery. I have two cordless vacuums at home and when I use the boost mode the charge ends after 20 minutes and it was frustrating to wait for a recharge. I appreciate the backup battery and the 120-minute cleaning feature.
- This vacuum filtration system is completely sealed, capturing 99.99% of particles including dust and allergens, providing cleaner air to my home.

- One of the features I don't like is holding the start button all the time. It is tiring and challenging to hold down the start button with your finger during cleaning in such a technological machine.

- The second thing I don't like is the heavy design of the broom, it's tiring to lift this broom and get dust from the ceiling or the window or the ventilation, but the balance of vertical stability of the broom with this weight is good.

Apart from that, as an environmentalist, I appreciate that the user manual is not given on paper. I appreciate this point as it is my preference to access it as an application or on the internet.

I highly recommend the Dyson Outsize Total Clean Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for its unmatched cleaning power, convenient cordless design, and extensive accessories.
