JanSport Grey Letterman Backpack: 15″ Laptop, 2 Compartments

This is a nice bag for traveling. Fabric is lighter than the traditional cordura nylon but seems durable enough. Time will tell. Roomie but not overly big. Good balance of weight and size.

So many pockets and the durability and support on your back is amazing. I had the smaller version jansport before this one but I like this one wayyy better as I needed something with more room for my laptop, textbooks and a backpack that can hold more so that my shoulders/ back were not hurting. It has a laptop sleeve, water bottle holder, and two more super roomy pockets for whatever you need to carry.

My son loves this backpack. The leather on the bottom helps decrease the normal wear & tear from the weight of the books & dropping it on the ground. No issues with this backpack!

excellent backpack. really like that it is made of 100% recycled materials, too. lightweight, but durable, with a good amount of space, and comfortable. I'll use this for a while

If this backpack had cost me $30, I would be giving it a 5-star rating. However, these backpacks have been getting more and more expensive over the past few years, and the quality seems to be lacking these days. The material is very nice and the pockets work great, but if you use public transportation and get caught in the rain from time to time, you'll be replacing this backpack each year. The zippers are annoying- the strips of fabric that cover the zipper tracks do nothing to repel rain and only serve to jam the zipper pulls and eventually break the zippers.

Get a jansport backpack if you like the style, but add on a can of scotch guard to use inside and out before using it as your daily backpack. I have gone through three or four of these over the past three years and have since started using a proper waterproof rucksack when not trying to look stylish.
