    Bought in November 2023, bottom hub broke off suction tube in February. Unrepairable. Very poorly engineered to have a flimsy plastic hub on the metal tube, if you bump something near the outer edge of the brush the torque snaps the hub. I am careful with my tools, I didn’t ram it into a chair leg, it is simply a weak point in the design.

    My rating is actually 1 star but I think more people read the 3 star reviews to save time.
    The Dyson support system feels designed to make it difficult, after several emails and a chat I have given up.

    I’ll never buy another Dyson product.

    I live in a townhome that is all carpet with 3 cats… for the last year i’ve been using a Corded Shark Animal version vacuum. I thought it did pretty good picking up Hair and dust. From the pictures in this review, you can tell i was wrong omg. I’ve had this dyson for less than 24hr. I could not wait to use it. These pictures are after vacuuming the living room, stairs and two bedrooms. The suction power on the dyson is insanely incredible. Which leads me to why I only rated 4 stars.. The battery. On MAX mode, it dies so fast. I wish i could’ve afforded the more expensive dyson for a longer battery but it’s a trade off i guess. We typically never vacuum the whole house at once so in the long run this will work out for us as we periodically vacuum a few days out the week. In my opinion, could the battery be better? Yes but was it still worth it? absolutely. I have a small allergy to cats but i love my babies. This dyson will give me peace at home lol

    I absolutely love this vacuum. It is the most effortless easiest vacuum to use. The battery is perfect it last for 40 minutes until next charge I normally just clean and then plug it back in until next use. It works great on both hard floors & carpet. It is so light weight and easy to use. I really love how it is cordless, I vacuum almost every day just because of how easy it is. This vacuum is worth every penny. I used to hate vacuum and now I genuinely LOVE it! If you’re thinking about buying this don’t second guess just buy it!!

    I bought the Dyson V8 to replace an off brand that stopped charging inside of the first year (you get what you pay for). This vacuum is easy to use, easy to empty and the charge is strong enough to last for three rooms easily.
    Plus Dyson customer support is superior. I speak to a person, not a bot and the representatives are always patient and educated about their product. It does well on carpet, area rugs and hardwood. Attachments work well too and are easy to use. I love the housing/charging station and the V8 is well made. I expect to have it a long time.
    I look forward to vacuuming now and that doesn’t even sound right!

    This is my fourth vacuum in almost 2 years. I have had a Bissell, Hoover, the Zokerlife (for a short time), and now this one. This one is amazing! It is quite, lightweight, and has great suction. It’s the first vacuum I have ever owned that I could listen to music while cleaning and actually hear it. Furthermore, I have a German Shepard/Border Collie mix and she is shedding a lot right now and I have been trying to figure out a vacuum for a couple of weeks. I have a robot vacuum to supplement, but they can only do so much. This vacuum arrived yesterday and handled the dog hair like a pro (the picture is real. It’s her favorite spot in the house). The trigger for the power is a little annoying, but not bad. The fan is very strong and does blow at you while you are vacuuming, but it’s cool air, which feels somewhat nice these days. I also like the easy power setting toggle to switch from slow to max. I was easily able to switch from my hardwood floors to my carpet without skipping a beat. The only true downfall for me is the battery life. It charges fairly quickly, but I didn’t even get through my first floor. I am going to invest in a second battery because the pros definitely outweigh the cons with this vacuum.
